Tips and tricks for airsoft sniper rifles (Bolt Actions)

There are many things to know about many different types of sniper rifles. You must know what you are doing, and you must not do anything lazy at all, or it will cost you greatly. These are just some tips and tricks to know about airsoft sniper rifles that are bolt actions.

DIY Mods, or Do It Yourself Mods: These are mods you can do to your rifle to help save some cash and "fine tune" your rifle. This includes one of the greatest things you can do: Teflon tape the cylinder head, which is the little nozzle thing screwed onto your cylinder assembly. This will get you excellent compression. Another mod is to add extra foam to the back of the cylinder head, which will help compression and air seal. One mod you can do ONLY for the JG Bar-10 or JG Bar-10 G-Spec, is cut the airbrake on the piston. This is will give you a considerable increase in FPS.

Hop up/Barrel Upgrade FIRST: This is the single most important thing you can do for you sniper rifle out of the box. You will have a very accurate rifle if done properly. The Aero Chamber for APS-2 guns is said to be easier to work with than the PDI Hop up chamber, but that is your choice. I personally did not do this, but I recommend that you do, and I will do it in the future to my L96.

Do NOT use WD-40 to make your bolt "cycle" faster: This is a growing problem in America, forget South Carolina. People think that WD-40 will make them be a super awesome sniper because they can put 20 rounds downrange faster than an AEG. No. You cannot do this, the bolt pull is determined on the spring you have in the cylinder in the gun.

It is wise to not no-scope: This doesn't work, don't do it, if I see you doing this, I will laugh. I saw so many snipers doing this back at TT on January 7th, it was insane.

You could, but that is not a DIY mod. But it works out well, yes.

The idea for DIY mods is to save money. Besides, you can't always just "buy" a nice gun, throwing a bunch of expensive top of the line parts into a gun doesn't mean the gun will be awesome.

Yes it does, just do it tightly.
