AEG to GBB Conversion Kit?
http://www.ebairsoft.com/ghk-aeg-to-gbb ... -5320.html
i was lurking around and found this.. its supposed to be a "drop-in" mod for most aegs that use a v2 gearbox but is it possible to put this in a d-boys scar-l?, seeing as it looks like it has some sort of open bolt / blow back function and i just didn't know if it would work with my gun.. any thoughts?

Re: AEG to GBB Conversion Kit?
Does anyone know about the quality of these? I'm very interested, and will be researching them further.
I'll let you know what I find!

If you're gonna but the conversion kit, buy it from Evike. It's $120 on Evike.

Conversion box = $120-130Felix wrote:Well. Hpa with normal mags... Or use this with GHKs 50$ mags?
WA M4 Mags = $65-100 each, depending on brand and retailer
8 mags (pretty standard number) = Probable minimum of $450, plus the $120 box = $570
P* rifle (complete) = $550ish, plus about $200 for a good rig
Mags = any AEG M4 mag, so you probably already have them. Total would be around $750.
Neither setup offers recoil. The only advantage the GHK box has is that it requires no air line. This is also a huge disadvantage, since that opens you up to the inconsistent world of gas-in-mag rifles. Have fun with that.
As far as these going into a SCAR, both boxes (P* and GHK) emulate the shape of a V2 gearbox configured for the M4. Therefore, the air nozzle on both will not work, and you may have selector issues aswell.

There's no kill switch on awesome!

PolarStar is the way to go. They carry a lifetime warranty and are extremely expensive, but there really isn't a good way to convert without dropping some serious money into the gun anyway.
After seeing a team mate have trouble with his HPA system, this is what you'd better be prepared for.
1. You're lugging around cans of gas/air to get the same firepower as a guy using battery power.
2. If you don't have your regulator adjusted just right, you can easily blow out the hose.
3. Instead of simply charging your batteries, you'll have to go get your air tanks filled somewhere.
I'll admit, my buddies HPA M249 had some awesome recoil. I'll also admit that a properly upgraded HPA weapon can reach amazing ranges and accuracies. However I wouldn't recommend spending that much time and money unless you were really willing to go all out.
Moral of the story: Don't put all your "Airsoft Stock" in something like this.
