I'm new so I don't know really know what chest rig to go with, and I plan on wearing digital woodland bdu's.

Well.. What do you want to carry? What essentials do you need, or want, for the field.

Mag pouches, dump pouch, and maybe other misc. pouches, and some type of hydration.

Something that is at big with a lot of room in the price range of 30 to 60 dollars, and I have looked at Airsoft GI, but I was wondering if there is somewhere near Sumter or Columbia where I could go buy some gear.

No place with an SC storefront.
Id suggest then a Plate Carrier with either add on molle, or pouches you buy separatly.

I havnt seen any for under 50, but I bet you can buy one for 90 or so off Weaponblender.

Get yourself a 1961a style chest rig and you'll have all the storage you need. Add a dedicated Camelbak and you have hydro aswell.
