The G&G [F.M.] GR16 R4 Carbine, it has an external fake magazine attached to the outside that acts as a battery compartment. [Supposedly] Easy to use and right there so that it'll be easy to slide batteries in. However, it's not very high on the aesthetics side and, personally, looks like it would hinder magazine change. Think it'd be useful or just in the way?

It just looks like a ready mag system. Pretty cool.
I do not always accidentally, but when I do, I accidentally the whole thing.

That's interesting, but I think I'd wait for a review or two about that battery. If it's not replaceable, then you don't want it.

I think G&G tried to put their new MP5 design, but work it with an M4 variant rifle. Reloading will be a hassle.
