Real Sword type 97 and 97b
Real Sword type 97 and 97b
So I've been saving for my l96 sniper project and over time I've become less and less interested with sniping. I just want to know if anyone have any knowledge about these guns. Anything will be helpful.

Real Sword is as close to PTW as you can get with commie weapons.
I do not always accidentally, but when I do, I accidentally the whole thing.
Re: Real Sword type 97 and 97b
Umm... only if you're defining a PTW as 1:1 dimensions.
Haze: They're good CQB guns. They're weird guns. They're well made guns. They're not terribly expensive.
Not much more to say.

Isn't 1:1 and not dry firing and compatability issues the only thing different about PTWs.SteevoLS wrote:Umm... only if you're defining a PTW as 1:1 dimensions.

Even so, a RS Type 56 is as close as you can get to an AK PTW isn't it?

PTW...
- Planetary gears (tiny little gearbox about the size of a deck of cards). Extremely high torque and extremely reliable.
- Built in MOSFET array (the only real weak point anymore)
- 1:1 dimensions, 1:1 magazine dimensions, 1:1 weight vs matching model in real steel, no dry firing, etc
The only way to compare a RealSword AK to a PTW is dimensions when compared to real counterparts. The receiver is a hair shorter than other brands; otherwise it's no different than any other high end AK like a LCT or VFC.

Thanks SteevoLS. Can you compare the systema ptws to the celcius ptws?

Re: Real Sword type 97 and 97b
A brand new version of the CTW just came out within the last month or two, but I haven't heard anything about them in terms of reliability.
CTWs are just like PTWs, but not as reliable. Imagine you had a PTW, but you had to worry about pistons stripping, gears stripping, etc. CTWs have something along the lines of a 70% lemon rate. The 2nd and 3rd versions are not 100% PTW clones, meaning if it does break you have to use CTW parts instead of OEM or aftermarket PTW parts to fix it.
Unless you can find one used for a really good price (if it has worked long enough to be sold as a used gun, it probably isn't a lemon) I wouldn't buy one. I would not pay the retail price, considering that I can go on systema-ptw.com and buy a PTW for under a grand any day of the week.
