1. If you want to be hidden you where a ghillie suit
2. usually if you buy a more expensive gun it has more upgrades already and don't have to put in as many
3. it had a few upgrades but the scope was horrible

Let's not forget a couple tidbits of what science/math tell us:

1) Given the same FPS, putting in heavier bbs will give you a longer effective range, even when you consider the lower starting FPS.
Heavier shots do not slow down as quickly as light shots, and therefore contain enough kinetic energy to have a detectable impact at a greater range.
2) A wind blowing INTO the shot will actually increase your range (due to increased lift/hopup effects), therefore, wind can be your friend.

[the above is verified by experience, computer models, and lab testing]

Then what military snipers teach us:

A good sniper practices at correcting for wind affects. Spring snipers are extremely quiet in comparison to other rifle types (at 100 ft, you can't be sure if that was a shot or a pine cone hitting the ground). This makes it difficult to locate a sniper by sound - the low fire rate works in your favor.

....and I fed the trolls. I guess I'm no better.

Agreed
with a dead accurate scope,
Or never use one at all
and are a good shot and have a gillie suit snipers aren't good.
Disagree. When I can hit you at 200+ feet, I want you to see who shot you.
Even if you have all that stuff a bb gets affected by the wind greatly unless you have a very heavy bb which means it doesn't go as far
Disagree. A .40g BB at 410 FPS will outrange 98% of Aegs
and there will always be those noobs who don't call their hits if they only get shot once and the don't see you shot them or they don't hurt.
Thats where you aim higher
