This thread is for insane and crazy things you could think of in airsoft.

ex: Putting an RPK receiver on a KWA ATP, using a PDI 300% spring on a stock trigger set MK96, ect.

This is just for laughs guys

Virtually any AEG can run a decent lipo with no replacement parts. It's more a matter of AoE and not laying on the trigger for hours at a time. I ran a CYMA MP5 for over a minute (full auto, one burst) on a 60c 14.8V lipo and it did fine.

I know this, but the thing is the Javelin Guns all run on that mechanical blowback, which is a pain to deal with. We have had two fail on us before, one the blowback ripped the piston pretty bad, and the other's motor was junk. This just worried me, not all people know to correct the AoE, and the Lipo may damage the gun. Speaking of which I may run a 7.4v Lipo on the next AK I get, just trying to decide.

Well, I think the most insane thing I've done is put 13:1 gears in a DMR. Was more just curious if I could do it and it work than to actually use it for anything. The trigger response was impressive, as was the rate of fire, but it requires quite the large battery to work properly.

I should clarify that the sector gear in that MP5 broke clean off of its axle, but none of the gear teeth or the piston were harmed. Not bad for a BLARGAFLARGABALLLLLGH sixty second burst on a battery the size of a small reactor. I actually still have that piston in a different gun... quite impressive.

Insanity is when Star_Folder takes your rifle, tells you theres a problem and that hes sorry. Then he fires it on full auto for a good minute attempting to make the high pitch squeal of an incorrect motor height go away. God it was like nails on a chalkboard...
