ARES M40 Stock Bedding Service

ARES announced a new service which will be avaliable in mid-2012. The "Stock Bedding Service" is done by ARES themselves, and they remove the firearm action (reciever/bolt/barrel) of their M40 variant sniper rifle replica and put it into a real-steel, real firearms manufacturer stock of your choice. You pay for the cost of the stock in addition to the bedding service which can vary from 50-300 USD$, depending on if ARES has to cut into the steel bedding of the real rifle stock to fit your M40 action into it. If ARES does not have a rifle stock you are looking for, the owner can tell ARES what rifle they want and they will order it from the manufacturer. Examples of stock prices are:
•Wood Varmint Hunter Stock: 150-200 USD$
•M40 Stock - 400 USD$
•Accuracy International Stock: 1100 USD$
•McMillan Stock: 600-700 USD$

The stocks are not sold separately. Customers therefore have to order a custom M40 with a certain stock of your choice or the customer can send in their pre-bought M40 replica for a new stock/fitting.

Even though this service is for view only, it is perfect for MilSimmers and equipment whores who enjoy abseloute realism.

That's just crazy cool. I can't really see many people actually doing it but it's a really cool idea. But just my opinion is that a lot of company's have awesome externals as it is but this just takes it to the next level for that dude who just has too much money.

Truthfully it shouldnt cost too much if you get the right stock. Truthfully you could do it yourself with whatever Bar-10 you can find, but this is just for the M40 and whatever you want them to put on it.

Truthfully, there is just something about an airsoft gun mounted in real wood. Even the M14's with REAL wood stocks just feel amazing. There was/is a company that puts airsoft m14 guts into real Garand and M14 stocks. Is it worth it, sure to the right person.

Also there are some games where all guns and gear MUST be period correct or you;re not getting on the field. For those guys, this is an awesome option. But if you have the right tools, some skill and patience, there's no reason someone couldn't do this themselves.

My father,my father's father and my father's father's father, and ME, are/were all wood workers, so I would do it myself.
