Suggestions?

Post by CrashJB » Thu Nov 17, 2011 8:41 pm

Hi. I just decided to get into airsoft a few days ago, but after coming here and seeing how the sport is really played, I realize I should have done a lot more research before rushing into my purchases. I've already purchased a CSI 5290 (http://www.import-action.com/ae-5290.ht ... 7QodjhalGQ) and a Reaper airsoft mask (http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-SUvXmnFtx4Y/T ... Reaper.jpg) After learning a bit, I've realized how completely awful these purchases are. Haha. As you can see, I'm a big fan of aesthetics. I'm a little bothered with having something that seems boring to me. Does anybody have any suggestions of any gear that actually holds good quality, but isn't exactly like everything else? I've always been a fan of the P90 and the AUG military weapons, if that's any sign as to what kind of stuff I'm into. I saw a gun, the JG STAR Dragon. It's... unique. The reviews I've read are great. But I can't tell if it's sexy or ridiculous looking. I guess it's not TOO unrealistic, especially if you've ever seen guns like the XM25 or the SAR 21. Opinions? Suggestions?

Well, it looks like most of the quality guns are around 150 - 200, so I may have to bite the bullet (or bb. Haha.) And spend something like that. I'm okay with that, since I plan to be playing for a good bit.

Try to aim for something from G&G. I've heard some good things about their Combat Machines.

That will end up being your biggest purchase, the rest is on ammo, which is not bad. any certain model you are leaning towards?

G&G cm for m4 , cyma for ak or mp5, jg for a low end p90( or save up for a Tokyo Marui one), jg for other various guns. Those should all be roughly in your price range, other than the tm p90, which is really the only good p90 out there (IMO of course)

There have been a lot of games since the last fatality. Roses are red, violets are blue, so is your car at 102

Chiclone bullpups are pretty unreliable, buy a TM P90.

Every time I come back to the page for that dragon (http://www.airsoftmegastore.com/JG_Airs ... e-8801.htm) I find myself leaning more and more toward it, because like I said, I'm all about unique looks. The reviews on every site I've seen so far have been amazing, and the video of it I saw was incredible. I just want to get everyone's opinions of it before I buy it. I also don't seem to see anywhere to put a tactical light or LAM. I know it's all personal opinion, but you're all more experienced than I.

Finding those and bookmarking the pages. Thank you. I'm loving that TM p90.

I'm definitely liking that TM P90. It seems like exactly what I was looking for to begin with. What is a Chiclone bullpup?

A chinese-clone of a higher-end non-chinese gun. Basically, a cheaper-made version from another company.

...and bullpups are guns with the magazine behind the trigger, like AUGs and P90s.

Chiclone = a clone of a gun made in china. Basically, he is talking about an Echo 1 or JG P90. IMO, the chiclones are better than the TM, simply because the TM is over priced for what it is. However, HOWEVER, that is from the standpoint of someone who can work on guns.

Out of the box, the TM will out preform the JG. If you are interested, I have a TM P90 that I'd be willing to sell you for $200.

correct me if I am wrong but isn't the definition of a bull-pup a gun in which the action happens behind the trigger?
