I just want to add that longer barrel length has an almost entirely negligible affect on range and accuracy in most cases. There are exceptions, but the difference between the length of an M4 and M16 barrel is going to have hardly any affect on these. Your decision between the two should not factor in any assumed range and accuracy advantage for the M16. KWA makes excellent AEGs, but don't let anyone tell you that they are your only option if you want a high quality AEG. Do a lot of reading and looking at externals AND internals (much more important than the former IMHO) before you make up your mind. These forums offer a lot of firsthand knowledge on many manufacturers AEGs, and Google is always your friend for finding even more info on other forums.

KWA -Good externals 3 / 395 fps Gb 8mm&9mm ball bearing bushings, 1 Best Gb / $295
VFC -Great externals 2 / 390 fps Gb 8mm steel bushings, PLASTIC resin cylinder head, 3 Good Gb/ $280

Overall it comes down to preference in what your looking for. I have had great luck with kwa an will probably choose them again.
