Definition of Airsoft?

If you could create your own definition for airsoft, what would it be? Basically asking for a summarization of airsoft in one or two sentences.

Yea, I've been wondering how to describe it.
Its like paintball but...
Its a "toy" gun that shoots plastic...
And then there's always that responce "O, you mean those plastic guns at WALMART?"

Is there really an easy way to describe airsoft?

Airsoft is the ultimate first person shooter experience, except that instead of sitting in front of a television set playing "armchair commando," players are actually physically running around and shooting each other in real life.  Also worth mentioning, is that it is completely nonlethal (okay, maybe not completely nonlethal, but you'd have to be quite sick in the head to kill somebody with an AirSoft gun).

Wikipedia defines it as "a recreational activity which uses replica firearms that shoot small plastic pellets. Common uses for airsoft are competitive gaming (similar to paintball), military simulations, target shooting, and military training."

I also like how spell checker on Google Chrome and Microsoft Word doesn't recognize Airsoft as a word.

Airsoft is a combat action sport similar to paintball in practice, but differing in equipment and play style. Unlike most paintball games that occur with bright colored outfits and weapons, airsoft is, for the most part a simulation game. Players dress like military units and carry replica firearms that fire small 6mm plastic BBs. It is a game of honor, as no mark is made when hit, and is generally populated by mature players.
