Garrett and I pulled RedFox for you guys, he set a date, then Robin matched that date identical? what are the odds? thats a dirty chump move.. I understand politics but man, thats dirty..

oh well what do I know.. yall have fun..
Thats your opinion, Red fox is a weak field my opinion. No place to hold games for a massive amount of players. No more butt hurt comments. The horse is pretty much dead.

Sorry, I don't have time to read this whole thread ATM, but let me make a few things clear:

[mod]Blacktower Productions (Robin) is hosting an NC vs SC game in conjunction with BOTH the SCAA and the AOSC. The AOSC officially supports this game, and Blacktower Productions, as henceforth any and all games hosted by Robin are just as much AOSC games as they are SCAA games. I have spoken with him and the AOSC will be coordinating its game hosting schedule with Blacktower productions from now on. Therefore, there is no reason whatsoever to boycott this game, or any of Robins other games.

Panzermensch is currently the command element from the SCAA for SC, however, a commander from the AOSC will be added shortly by Robin. I expect every one of you on the field to show your support for South Carolina and the AOSC against our foes from the north ;)

Dom, that is great news

First of all, why would Robin try to mess us up? I don't see any point in going to Redfox just for the sake of "Going to the AOSC game instead of the SCAA game" since BOTC is NOT AN SCAA GAME....

Echoing what I said in the SCAA Game thread, I will not be able to attend, at least not the first day, because of my aunt's wedding :(

whoa folks.. I didnt say Robin was a chump, I just said it was a chump move.. only because from what I saw, we said the 1st, then he said the 1st.. coincidence? thats all..

if it boils down to both organizations working together then great, it works out with a mutual respect and thats all that matters..

as far as RedFox.. that field could handle many more people and much more strategic.. the only downfall I see would be parking and an overnight stay which could be worked out..

It boils down to who is making the profit from the game, but anyway.

Vaughn is letting airsofters have the whole field?  I don't believe he's done that before.  I think it will be interesting to see such a large number of players on the fields (parking, camping, playing) at one time.

Wait, Redfox was being discussed in earlier post, but from the game thread (below), is this game at Saluda or Redfox?

It's at Saluda. Carolina Border Wars is the official name of the game now.

How was it a chump move? Is he supposed to come look at our game calendar every-time he wants to plan a game?
Sounds like it will be an awesome game though...

[mod]Since there has been some question about this, let me clarify:

The AOSC and its Representatives are in NO WAY cooperating with the SCAA concerning game hosting or anything else, though as a matter of course we will be fighting alongside them against NC in the Border War game. We are, however, cooperating with an independent production company called Blacktower Productions that hosts games in SC independent of both organizations and that has no desire to take sides at the present time. The AOSC is and always will be its own organization independent from and with entirely differing ideals than the SCAA.

Additionally:

What I meant was that Blacktower Productions is a production company independent of BOTH organizations, it hosts games in SC of its own accord. He (Robin [Blacktower Productions]) has agreed to reduce his game productions to only 12 a year, in return, the AOSC may host large games on the other 40 weekends of the year. In other words, the AOSC is coordinating with BTP to benefit the player base (which is what we're here for after all). Whether or not BTP continues to post their games on the SCAA as well is his decision. Either way, the ONLY manner in which the AOSC or its Representatives will be cooperating with the SCAA is that we have agreed to a joint command structure at the Carolina Border War. The bottom line is that the SCAA is in no way influencing the AOSC or its Representatives, and never will, period. If you have any further questions concerning this, please call or PM me right away, as I'd like to quickly put an end to some quite unfounded rumors.

Also, as far as the whole Redfox/Preacher/BotC thing, here's what happened:

Preacher from the NCAO (CO of SG12 and Rep for the NCAO) was coordinating with Robin of BTP to get an NC vs SC game going on Saluda on May 1st. At the same time Preacher told us to get him a field and date to do the same thing. We came upon the date and field as mentioned, and Robin already had Saluda the same day. Robin  of BTP did NOT steal the date or anything of the sort, and has been nothing but cooperative towards the AOSC. Preacher of the NCAO however, was blatantly disingenuous with both parties, and has therefore been entirely removed from involvement with both BTP and the AOSC concerning this game (Carolina Border War). Furthermore, due to his dishonesty and unprofessional attitude after the fact, the AOSC will no longer consider Preacher a viable emissary of the NCAO, and will in any case refuse to work with him concerning anything in the future. If the NCAO ever desires to contact the AOSC in the future, it will have to be done through another NCAO Representative. After this debacle, we decided to work with BTP and support this game. Many of you would rather have it at Redfox, including me, however the simple fact of the matter is that Redfox would not allow camping, does not have cabins, and does not have enough parking space for all the NC guys to come down. If we had this game anywhere other than Saluda, no one from NC would show up and it would fail, Saluda is simply a logistical choice. Either way, with your help the AOSC and SC will defeat the NCAO and NC on May 1st ;).

Thanks for the info Dom.  That clears up a lot.  I was wondering if this thread should be merged with this other thread (http://www.southcarolinaairsoft.com/forums/http://www.southcarolinaairsoft.com/newforums/viewtopic.php?t=6;topicseen) since they are the same topic.

While not involving myself in this drama, I would like to clear up a couple things.  First, Preacher is not the CO of SG12, he is only a member. Also, he is a field fep for BOSS paintball in the NCAO, nothing more. He was simply the only one to take on a NC vs SC game last year. And before another person complains about RedFox not getting chosen, you will have to get over it because we want somewhere to stay when we drive a long ass way for a game.  ;D

That is all. Ignore my spying.  ;)
