Masada upgrades?

Post by Zoobie » Tue Oct 26, 2010 6:42 am

Hey you guys, I've just came across a A&K Magpul Masada, My friend order one and ended up paying for two and so he solid me the second one. I was wondering what are some upgrades I should do to it? I kinda have no clue on what I could do, how ever one of my first things I like to do with all my guns is to put a TBB in it, may be a 6.03. Let me know what you think would be a good idea and what might be bad ones to.

I wouldn't do jack squat to it until you actually have it. Chances are it won't need much beyond a good shim job. Additionally, a quality hopup bucking will do FAR more than a tightbore for your range and accuracy.

TBBs are the last upgrade needed (see my Tech Tips). It will, like all Chiclones and most guns from even good manufacturers, be poorly shimmed and lubricated and have a mediocre oring. Buy a good bucking and nub first, then decide what you want to do with it. Unless you know how you want it to perform you can't decide what upgrades you need to do so.
