Some people want to make things bad

So, I get a phone call from my friend who came out to play this past Saturday with a borrowed gun, an M16 (more details later). The gun was not functioning at all. So as a intermediate tech I began to troubleshoot the cause of the rifle not firing. The number problem to check after you pull the trigger and it does not fire, is the fuse. So I check there and low and behold, no fuse. So i took one of my 30A fuses from my gun to place into the it rifle, and tried to fire again. Still no response. SO I went into the admin room to try to take it apart. Another problem arises. The back body pin screw is stripped. So I could not get into the gun. Pretty much a paperweight.

Fast forward to today, I get a call from my friend saying that the person who he borrow the gun from tells me that I owe him $150 for an entire body. This so called person has been in the airsoft world for 12 years and is trying to pull a fast one by claiming I broke his rifle, and that I owe him money on the count of that it is fully upgraded. For a gun fully upgraded, it had polymer body. Which some players after so long would want a full metal body. Zip tied rails. I mean really.

How can you break a rifle that:
A) had no fuse in it to start.
B) was non functioning before it was even given to be played with.
C) has a stripped screw in it before you even get to it. So you can't even get to the gearbox.

Tell him to suck it.

Friend 1 borrowed it from friend 2, and gave it to you to fix. Friend 1 broke it and owes the money. No longer your problem.

Friend 1 is the guy who loaned the gun. Friend 2 is the one who received it broken. Friend 1 gave it to friend 2 broken from the get go.

Just found out this guy (Friend who is trying to get money from me) is only 18. Hmmm, 18-12 = 6.

I say don't pay him. He obviously knows nothing of what he is talking about, if the gun was broken from the start before you got it, this d-bag needs to go to him. He started when he was six? Lol yeah tell him to do what Felix said

You said a body pin screw is stripped, so what exactly does he claim he has to replace that is worth $150 anyway?

He is trying to claim the whole body of the gun...
