I'm thinking of getting one for my DMR, where I'll have my equipment spread between a drop leg holster and a drop leg panel.

Re: Sling-ish harness thing
looks pointless. for $20 you can be guaranteed it's made by a little kid in china and will fall apart quickly.
Re: Sling-ish harness thing
The ONLY reason I would use this with a long rifle would be for the weight distribution, but then you're stuck using a one point sling for something that it isn't meant to do.
Drop a CQB rifle on a 1 point sling and falls by your side and hangs in the air.
Drop a 20" SPR on a 1 point sling and it smacks the ground... ESPECIALLY a bungee sling like this.
The shoulder harness affair looks pointless and bulky. Why would you use this when you could use a 1/2pt convertible sling with a padded strap? For that matter, why would you put things in drop leg platforms where they interfere with the mobility of your legs when you could just put them on a belt rig?
EDIT: Just noticed the hook on that sling. I've yet to see a chinese hook of that style that didn't break or lose retention of the gun after a few games.

There's no kill switch on awesome!
Re: Sling-ish harness thing
Too many straps to complicate things. Get a sling like what Viking Tactics makes or something adjustable to be able to quickly transition to a sidearm.

tis true about the hook. I've got a 1 point sling with that type of hook. Worked well for a couple of games on my L85, then it started to lose retention quickly. After a couple of gun drops, I stopped using the sling.SteevoLS wrote: I've yet to see a chinese hook of that style that didn't break or lose retention of the gun after a few games.
