Looking into a gas pistol

Alright, I think I've decided I want to get a new pistol to complete my loadout when my m14 project is done. So here's what I'm looking for advice in the area of:
Gas pistols in general
I'm specifically looking at either the 1911s or the split-slide styles (called dragons I think)
what brands there are and how they match up price and quality wise (I have heard enough that WE is currently not a planned option)
Possibly wanting to see/hold a gun or two of these styles if anyone who has them is going to be at a game I'd be attending before I order one of my own.
Also, I'm a bit of an ocd perfectionist, and I know sometimes trademarks get removed. So links to places that have them without trades or won't remove the trades would be appreciated since the damages from removals would annoy the heck out of me.
Edit: I forgot to mention the differences between gases. I don't want c02, I know that most take green gas/propane, and I think i've heard someone (dom maybe?) mention another gas/compressed air. I want to know what option would be cheaper and the most consistent.
