Out of all the people who are on here, a lot of us are are interested in a past war more than modern warfare(no COD pun inteneded). Personally, I'm a 'Nam guy, but I know we've got some WWII guys, maybe some Korea guys, and perhaps even a few WWI buffs. This thread is for people with loadout questions and advice to others.

I found these two extremely helpful pages on U.S. Vietnam loadouts.

Wish there was more interest in actual VN games down here and not the aberration that is the VN game in NC...

The stuff that http://www.battlesim.com and MACV Airsoft do is awesome. Complete immersion events, all era specific and correct gear, fatigues, weapons, loadouts, lingo, even canned foods made to look like rations. Yes it can be expensive and usually is but is a ton of fun but has to be done properly.

Here's a few vids of the game they did at the field I played at every weekend in CT. building that firebase was hellish fun.

I know I have a big love for WWII. Classy weapons like the Thompson and Garand, awesome armor like the German Panzers and iconic Sherman, and the rise of paratroopers. When I finally get a job and finish off two kits I'm working on now, I'll definitely be working on a WWII load-out. Still unsure of what it will be, though.

I've always loved the M3 Grease Gun. But, I just can't dump that much on a gun from Ares, and the ICS probably won't be out for a while.

I've always like them too, but I hate the way Ares put the battery in the mags.
