I bought a H&K ares g36c Umarex cause i heard it was one of the best guns out of box. I love the way the gun shoots its accurate. I wish the distance it could reach would be a bit more so im planning to fix that. I have not found many people with this exact g36 most have the jq or kwa. I Plan on putting a m120/m130 spring in it to get the fps i want and was thinkgin about a 11.1 lipo to get the rof up. I was also planning on getting a good drum c-mag sense the only thing i dont like about the gun is the g36 mags. Just looking to see what yall thought and if any other mods/ideas let me know. I wanna be 380-400 fps very high rof. I want my g36c to be my on the move run and gun monster.

Considering that the gun should already be shooting 380ish with .20s, I think you already have the spring you want. Lipo + MOSFET + hopup work = exactly what you are asking for.

Mag wise, you can buy a magwell converter so that it can use M4 mags.

How is the Umarex, I was close to buying one.

Lipo: Whatever you can fit. Low output 11.1 (15-20) or mid output 7.4 (25-30c) would be recommended.

MOSFET: Solid state switch that can be wired in between the trigger and battery. It makes the entire electrical system far more efficient, meaning that simply adding a MOSFET will increase your rate of fire and trigger response.

And by hop up work, we generally mean putting a better hop up in it, usually doing a flat hop mod. (except on snipers I think. I can't remember but I think the mod they do on those is a slightly different version call the r-hop)

Isn't it G-hop? Ask Star-Folder about any hopup work Nabors, he's our local expert on the subject.

Thanks for the kind words Anthony.

The g-hop has been outdated, and really isn't good for anything over 300 fps.

The flat hop and r-hop can both be used at any power level, and both are good mods that can give similar results. These two mods have been known to increase the range of a gun by a good bit and would be good to consider if you want more range/accuracy.

He's a tad more than just the local expert lol....

No. G-hop is idea previous to flat hop that was created in Japan due to the fps limits iirc, it doesn't work as well as flat hop at the higher fps limits we use here in the states.

R-hop was designed by hs5 on airsoftmechanics. It is a little better than flat hop, but IMO flat hop is superior because it is easier to do and does not require significant changes in the barrel like r-hop does.

Flat hop works just fine for sniper rifles as well. The only people who need to use r hop are the people who have nothing else to upgrade, and want the absolute top notch.

*edit:star beat me to it...*
TL;DRflat hop is what you want, r hop gives a tiny bit more range, but is not worth the time investment for 90 percent of airsofters
