Looking for a few people for a team

I've been thinking about starting a team for a while now, the problem is, I don't know of other players in the immediate area. So I guess, if there's anyone within 30-45 minutes of camden that would be interested in being in a team, let me know. About the only requirements are that you can listen to orders and that you can at least try to work well both by yourself and with a partner. Also, I plan for it to have a mercenary feel, so you'll need to plan on getting at least 1 green uniform, 1 tan uniform, and one black/civilian uniform.

Also, I highly doubt this is needed to be mentioned, but I plan to cap the number of members at ten, at least until I have things sorted out and going somewhat smoothly.

Currently the team is nameless, and is just me and my brother.

Edit: on a side not, it would be advantageous if you (or if you have a couple friends too) have a full driver's license.

Does it matter if I am already part of two other teams? :P

Probably not. There's still a bit to figure out, like if/when for team meetings/practices kinda stuff, but at the moment i think that would only be a problem if one of your other teams was at the same game on the opposing faction.

Aren't you in lexington anyway? thats around an hour from camden.

A few words on starting a team:

Starting a team is like being a 'snipar' it's one of the first things noobs try to do. However, few people ever stop to consider the fact that the ONLY two models ever used to make a succesful and lasting team in this state are the following:

1) A group of people who are already good friends prior to starting to play airsoft start to play the sport at the same time, and since they are already good friends make a team of themselves.

2) A person or small number of experienced players start recruiting people at games after they have played with them multiple times and form a team from people they know through actual game experience.

Teams that form under any other circumstances never really go anywhere. What you and others should take away from this is that if you did not start playing this sport with a group of friends, then the only way you should even consider starting a team is by recruiting people that you have played with in person at games, NOT over the internet by virtue of what people tell you they think they know or how they think they will play when they get around to showing up to a game.

Don't get me wrong, I am not trying to be pessimistic; I just want you to know how to go about it the right way so it can be successful for you.

No, it's fine. I was thinking about it last night how it would probably go better if i were to invite people I was used to playing with instead of just recruiting people like this.

You saying what i was thinking is just a confirmation of my previous thoughts.

/agree with dom. I see so many people starting "teams" with 1 or 2 people on them then you never hear or see them on the field. Can't really add to dom's post just find people in the area around you that play or just join in with some of the guys you know from games and play with.

My team(s) are the ones who ride with me to games, anyone who lives in your area that rides in the caravan to games are likely candidates for a team.

Thats how ROYAL matured.

First team was FSA and we literally started in a back yard with three dudes.

LHAT is the Lexington High School Club so i mean we all live within a district of each other.

i totally agree with dom on this stealth. the best way to recruit is by playing with people at games and seeing how they play and how well you mesh with them

I also have to agree with Dom. A couple of friends and I are getting our team up and running, the thing is we have played multiple games together and we all started playing around the same time. True we may not be as organized as other teams but we get out there and have fun none the less which in my opinion is what a team is all about, a group of friends who can get out and have fun together no matter what.

THE FINE PRINT: I have absolutely no clue what I'm talking about.
