Are we going to try the BOTC again?

Post by D.Smitty » Wed Apr 13, 2011 9:24 pm

I know the original plans for BOTC kinda fell apart due to polities and stuff. Please do not make this into a big "well it was the NCers who didn't talk to us..." or "those NC players are d-bags" or whatever. I just want to point out, because I saw the posting on their website, that NCAO may be planning a BOTC game at their Wolf Creek field on September 11th of this year.

They probably haven't contacted many down here about it, but that's no big deal, as we do not have any games planned that far ahead. The fact that they might call the game a "SC vs. NC" game without contacting anybody shouldn't really piss anybody off, as it's just words. I've never been to an NC game and I would like for us to make a strong showing at this game if it happens. Hopefully there won't be another boycott.

Smitty, there has never been a boycott of BOTC. The fact that Preacher scheduled it on the same day as a scheduled AOSC game simply showed that he wasn't interested in getting a lot of SC players to come to the game anyway. Let's be perfectly honest Smitty. At Fulda Gap, one of the biggest airsoft games on the east coast there are at most 30 players from SC. So, if people aren't going to attend one of the biggest games at the best field around, then do you really think there is going to be a good turnout for an SC vs NC game? Simply put there are not enough SC players that are willing/able to travel out of the state to make the game doable.

I guess I misinterpreted things. Sorry about that.

Alright. Well, it's still a possibility that we can make this game.

Gambler really summed it up perfectly; even if we did plan something jointly, you would get a tiny turnout from SC.

Smitty, no worries. I know you aren't trying to stir up trouble. ;) I would happily attend a NC vs SC game if someone actually took the time to play it so it didn't interfere with it like last year with Vietnam. I'd like to see us get like GA where we could get 100 people to show up to an out of state game. That would be awesome.

Id go. Said I would try when they brought it up before.

Seriously, forget what happened no matter how bad and show them we can come back in full force. We will show them the Georgian defeat and tell them they're next :P

I'm will felix. I'd take em even if it was 5 to 1 in their favor.
