Airsoft Guns at the Flea Market

So I was at the flea market, and I saw some airsoft guns. I highly doubted there would be anything good there, but I stopped to look. Of course they had a Well MP5 and a bunch of spring pistols from China. They had some AEGs that looked like they were made out of the crappiest plastic availiable, and they had screws sticking out on the mag. I saw a shotgun that appeared to be one of the Tri-shot ones. It was marked $72. I asked the old lady who owned the stand what brand it was, and of course she had no idea. She began to explain how it was 400 fps and how it was super high quality. The lady made a huge deal about how it could shoot 3 bbs at the same time. I guess she thought I was an idiot or something. It was already obvious that she had absolutely no idea what she was talking about. She then got out the box and explained that it came with a "speed load thing". I looked at the instruction manual and saw that it was Double Eagle. I explained to her that it was way over priced. Then she told me that if you buy it online, you have to pay shipping, so it costs the same. At this point, I just left because there is no way I'm paying 72 dollars for a DE shotgun that has been sitting on a shelf for 5 years out of the box. If you're going to sell something, why not at least know what the thing you're selling is?

There's a flea market off the Greer Exit 60. Think it's called the Red Barn Flea Market? Anyway there's one stand in there with Mil-surplus gear. Plenty of ACU and a few Marpat(I think) stuff. Uniforms, Camelbaks, they even had a Fleck-tarn Flak jacket. All in all for the Spartanburg area, it's the best place to buy Mil Surplus. So you never know!

Flea markets are great when you're around a military base, but bear in mind that you might be purchasing what is supposed to be government property.

I have a funny story about that. No time right now, but maybe later.

that reminded me of the time that i was at JCLC at Fort Jackson and there were flashlights and M4 mags in the bathroom closet in the barracks and on the last day of JCLC some guys from lake city stole all of the mags and flashlights

Buying airsoft guns at a flea market is like buying them at WalMart, Dick's, or any major retailer. They will be overpriced, crappy, and the people selling them won't know what they're talking about. The only thing they are good for is helping new people discover the sport (I had never heard of airsoft until I bought one at a flea market).

My mom used to have a buisiness selling stuff on eBay for people. There was this guy named Levi who had a ton of stuff he always wanted to sell. Once, he bought a bunch of stuff from a military base when they were getting rid of old equipment. My mom found this thing that she couldn't find any information on. She is an engineer and used to build helicopters, so she called her friend. Apparently, it was some top secret missile countermeasure device. There were only a few in existence if I remember the story correctly. Obviously, it was pretty expensive. My mom called the military base, and there were MPs at our house within minutes. I guess some dumb private sold the wrong equipment. haha.
