Hey guys! I want to buy a sniper rifle sometime soon and was wondering what one is the best for its money. I've been researching them, and people say some don't even out-range an AEG, so I want a hard-hitting, far shooting gun. Thanks

Be ready to spend a lot of money man if you are going bolt action. Crazy has over 800 in his, and it still needs some work. You will be replacing just about everything... Trigger box, sears, hop up, piston, everything.

Before you go and buy a sniper rifle you should make sure it is for you.  Just about every person comes to airsoft wanting to snipe then buy one and see they don't like it because its not fun when you want to be in a fire fight with someone and they are unloading a high cap at you and you have 1 shot.  I didn't like sniping at first till about 2 months ago and now I love it.

If you buy one you will have to spend lot of money to make it what you want. Like Garret said you will replace just about everything in it. The Bar 10 is a nice one to start with and has a lot of upgrades for it.

Also, like they pointed out, if you want range (DMR or bolt action) you better have a lot of money in any case.

If you really want a sniper out of the box, go with a Real Sword, Dragonov.. but its probably around 800.. and maybe still needs and upgrade.. but its a semi auto AEG..

Go with a DMR.. G3, M16, etc..

As far as parts compatibility and variety, an M16 or G3SG1 variant is the best DMR base.
