Tenergy Batteries
So i've been wondering for a while if these batteries are good. I find that they are the cheapest to buy and very affordable, but are they good?
Here is the battery I am talking about.

Re: Tenergy Batteries
They are good, mid of line batteries, nothing special, not the best, but not the worst either.

As SF said not too bad. I've had a couple and they tend to die out after a year or so. Last year after4yrs of nimh loving I switched to lipos, 11.1 2200mAh for $12, can't beat them!

Ahh so they only last a year or so. Is VB and Intellect any better?

Re: Tenergy Batteries
Intellect is worse imo, most of the intellects I have experience with have died in less than a year. The tenergy last a yearish. I was comparing them to stock batteries, which usually are terrible.
The best nimh batteries you can get are batteries with Elite battery cells in them. Check out http://eliteairsoftbatteries.com/.
Other than that, I would switch to lipos, they charge faster, last longer, and provide more power than nimh batteries.

Re: Tenergy Batteries
If that's your concern, try a 7.4 lipo

GRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HULK NIMH SMASH!
The "I don't want to destroy my gun" excuse is so last millenium. A 7.4v 15-30c battery or 11.1v 12-15c will not put out any more juice than a quality 9.6v battery, and yet anyone will plug one of those up to their gun without a second thought!

Re: Tenergy Batteries
Well thats just it. My TM can't handle a 9.6v and i've already tried that and it blew my fuse.

Re: Tenergy Batteries
That's the fault of a poorly mounted motor or crappy shim job, not the battery. I've run stock TMs on 14.8v lipos before; it's all about the assembly, not the parts.

The battery that came with my Dad's second electric gun, a Crosman G3, is stilll going strong after 3 years on a trickle charger.
