I love bearings because not only have I never had one fail (not under 33 RPS or an M170), but they almost eliminate the friction on the gear set. Close the GB shell with nothing in it but the gears, bearings, and shims and then give the sector gear a flick with a small screwdriver. They will just keep spinning, effortlessly and quietly for some time. Compare that to even the most perfectly shimmed and lubed set of metal bushings and I think you will see why I never buy metal bushings.
